A large size loom with at least 90 pegs is needed for this pattern. If you have a larger loom, you may increase the size of the scarf. The pattern is written for a 1/2 inch gauge loom, but you may use a large gauge loom (such as the Martha Stewart loom) and increase yarn weight from worsted to bulky, or use a small gauge 3/8 inch loom, and fingering or sport weight yarn. More pegs may be added for a longer shawl.
