This gnome is ready for any arctic blast coming his way! Just trying to stay warm, he wears a cuddly flapped hat in lavender and navy that matches his collar and jaunty snowboots. His snowsuit is light blue. He has lots of “natural” insulation to weather the snow and short days.

It’s not a difficult knit; body is worked in the round in one piece from head to legs. Arms and hands are worked in one piece from shoulder to shoulder. Legs are worked snowboots up. Beard is picked up from marked stitches and knitted right onto his chubby face. Hat is separate; flaps are worked flat, hat crown is worked in the round with flaps joined as you knit.

You’ll need a set of four double pointed needles in size US4/3.5mm or size to achieve gauge, polyester fiberfill, and a sense of fun!

On a personal note:
Thank you for all the kind thoughts and prayers to all who sent them after the loss of my granddaughter after I posted my last pattern. You are angels and I love you.
