This pattern contains written instructions and a chart to knit this lovely wintry Aran/sports weight hat. It has an extra warm, woven effect brim and a stocking stitch/stockinette body. It can be worn to the back of the head, with a bit of slouch, or pulled over to the side for a jaunty, beret look. The band of the hat is worked separately and can be worn on its own as a warming headband.

It can be worked using any Aran/10ply yarn which gives 200m per 100g (218 yards per 3 1/2 oz)

It comes in six sizes to fit 37 to 61cm (14 1/2 to 24 inch) head sizes.
It uses 55g /110m (2oz/120yd) for the smallest size
and (100g/200m (3 1/2 oz/218 yd) for the largest size.
