Wizard Cape
for Alan Dart’s wonderful Mr. Wanderful (Wizard) from Simply Knitting Magazine, Issue 88, January 2012 & at http://www.alandart.co.uk/product/all-patterns/wizard/

Cape is knit top down.

Gauge, Needles, & Yarn: For best fit, use the same yarn & needles as you did to make the Wizard robe (body) to ensure the cape will fit nicely over the shoulders & book.

Note: Those listed are ONLY what I used. I used the same size needles & yarn for both my Wizard’s robe (the body) & the Wizard’s cape.

The 5th photo shows the measurements in red & the increase wedges in yellow.

See my Wizard project for more photos.

Mini Cape

Needles: one size 00 for RS & one size 0 for WS (smallest straights I had & only one 00). I tried on the size 000 dpns, but couldn’t stop the fall off as it increased.

Skipped the edging, but did do the applied bind off at collar edge, but did crochet chain ties instead of i-cord

Top 4 ¼” across, Bottom at longest points 17” across; Top to Bottom down middle 8”
