The Woodland Collar is a curved, cabled, buttoned cowl, inspired by the texture of bark.

It uses the gaps created by the cable crossings as buttonholes, so that you can creatively button it at different places to vary the look and functionality.

The patterns has versions in two different green yarns: a handspun camel from The Snow Leopard Trust and a solar-dyed wool from Seacolors.

Errata: there is a small error in the 2008 version of the pattern. For Rows 11, 13, and 15, the pattern should read:
k4, {p12, k8} 4 times, p12, k4
