The front of this cardigan is a play on angles. The collar is an angle that decrease while the hip angle increases. This is the perfect cool weather cardigan. It is loose enough to throw over your exercise or weekend gear yet has a wonderful drape to make it dressy enough for evening wear. The color reminded me of the deep woods hence the name. The Shibui mix of linen and cima is quite lovely! These two held together make a dk weight yarn. I went up on the needle size to get a looser gauge to fit the style of the cardigan. If you desire a thicker cardigan you can use a worsted weight yarn. I would suggest one that has some drape to it.

Notes:
This cardigan is constructed from the top down in one piece with raglan increases to shape the bodice. It starts with the collar, then the body sts are picked up from the collar and both the body and collar are worked together for the rest of the cardigan. This cardigan was designed to have the fronts overlap by 8”. Choose your size according to how much overlap you desire. The body increases at the hip are worked every other right side row. If you want more room in the hip area, you may work them every right side row, but be sure to allow for more yarn.
