The full name of the hat is actually “Worthy of the Wait”! In that the original yarn got lost in the mail and I had to wait for it to be resent!

In this slightly slouchy hat, which could be blocked to a tam shape, the cat’s paw lace detail in the ribbing, is repeated in the solid bands of colour between the fair-isle bands and just adds just that little bit of interest to the knitting to alleviate boredom between bands!

I was disappointed in my first choice of colours! The Lace pattern completely disappeared in the dark shade of the MIlarrochy Tweed, but the lighter tones of the second version in Amore 240 allow the lace to pop!

Yardages - main colour, approx. 120 yds, secondary colours approx. 40 yds each and accent colours approx. 5 yds each

The pattern for the hat is both written and charted until the crown shaping - the crown shaping is charted only.
