Wrangler the Duck is a handful of fun. He’s palm sized and perfect to give as gifts. (He’s the brother of Maverick the Mallard, pattern here. )

He measures 3” long and 3 1/2” tall, when crocheted with recommended yarn and hook. If you use other yarn weights, be sure to go down a couple of sized that what the yarn calls for, just to make sure you get a good tight fabric.

Wrangler is worked in the round using primarily single crochet.

Stitches used: Single crochet, Slip Stitch, Half Double crochet, Double Crochet, Increases and Decreases.

Materials needed:

  • Small amounts of Worsted weight yarn in yellow and orange.
  • 3 mm hook for the body of they bird, plus an optional 2.75mm hook.
  • 6 mm safety eyes

  • 3 stitch markers
