From the pattern:
Jacket body is worked in one piece from lower back edge, upwards to underarm. Stitches are added for sleeves and then work continues to shoulders. At shoulders the piece is divided for fronts and back neck, and work continues downwards to opposite underarm. Stitches are left unworked to complete sleeves and then work continues to lower front edge. Large front bands, that also form the collar, are worked around the front opening when the body is complete.

Crochet pattern charts and construction schematics are provided.
