Created for Yarnbox’s February 2017 Classic Box, the Yeseria Shawl is designed to use up two skeins of lovely sportweight yarn from Miss Babs. The knitting begins with just three stitches and then progresses upward through bands of graceful, lacy arabesques (based on a style of plaster carving—yeseria—found in Spain and Northern Africa). An elegant i-cord bind-off finishes the generously-sized shawl.

This pattern contains both fully charted and written instructions.

Recommended Yarn:
Miss Babs Yummy 3-Ply Sportweight — 100% superwash merino — 335 yds (306 m) per 150 g. Shown in colorway Lotus. Two full skeins used in sample (670 yds) - pattern gives instruction on using all of available yardage.

Sizing:
58” (147 cm) wingspan and 33” (84 cm) depth, after strong blocking.

PLEASE NOTE: Pattern is not dependent on gauge, but changes in gauge will affect finished size, look of motifs, and amount of yarn used (see note below). To meet given dimensions, be sure to use needle size that gives gauge.
