This knit cup, worked in a simple lace pattern (great for lace newbies), is perfect for holding your spare knitting needles and/or crochet hooks, or pencils, etc…

The cup can be worked up in any gauge, and in any cup size, by making some simple number changes using notes throughout the pattern. The pattern numbers are given for a cup like the example pictured, which is in worsted weight cotton yarn (around 20 yards), on size 6 needles.

The piece can either be slipped around a cardboard tube, or can be stiffened using white glue, making an awesome permanent lace cup! Detailed stiffening directions are included.

This pattern is part of the September leethal quick knits club mini-ebook, which also includes a pattern for a circular needles hanger and other crafty goodness!
