Zigzag Stripes Wrap
My “Summer Scarf” pattern, worked in a single colour, has been available as a free download since 2010. I have reworked my notes on my own striped version (December 2014) into a stand-alone pattern.
As written, the pattern is intended to be worn as a really big scarf or a light wrap. It would be a simple matter to alter the dimensions to make a custom piece.
Yarn quantities per colour way for the original wrap are as follows: 380 yards / 345 metres each of 3 colours, and 190 yds / 175 m of a fourth colour.
Possible substitute yarns are Knit Picks Palette, DROPS Alpaca, Isager Tvinni (Wool 2) or Isager Alpaca 2.
Gauge is not critical. If you choose to use a substitute yarn, swatching is recommended. The goal is to obtain a light, drape-y, but still substantial fabric.
