As we sadly say goodbye to the beloved television series Downton Abbey (the last 8 episodes begin airing on PBS stations in the U.S. on January 3, 2016), we took a trip down our own Downton memory lane and selected some of our favorite patterns from two PieceWork special issues: The Unofficial Downton Abbey Knits 2013 and 2014. Enjoy these 8 knitting patterns inspired by the lavish sets and styling of this hugely popular series, which tells the story of the Grantham clan and their servants at England’s Downton Abbey. All of the patterns were designed with Downton’s “upstairs” women in mind.
