This lacy overblouse, sexy and sophisticated, yet still modest when worn over a camisole or tank, is a salute to the daring Lady Sybil. Directions include three sizes—Small, Medium, and Large (39, 45, and 48 inches 99.1 (114.3, 121.9) cm, respectively). The garment has minimal finishing: After the hip band is worked flat in garter stitch, the body is joined and worked in one piece to the underarms. Stitches are put on hold while the short sleeves are knitted, and then all are joined for a circular yoke bodice, ending in a thick ribbed band. All pieces except the hip band are knitted in the round. A 1-inch (2.5-cm) button is sewn to the band to allow for a looser or tighter fit over the hip.
