Something mostly mindless, mostly not involving actual eyesight, to work on while I wait for cataract surgery. Trying the leftover Fresco for the chevrons -- it’s heavier weight, but I think that will work in this pattern, and the halo on it will be a great contrast to the Palette left over from the Bacon Cowl.

Notes: I have a lot more coral than black, so I’m doing 10 rounds instead of 8 between the black bands. Also, I switched the decreases -- I’m doing K2tog, SSK rather thank SKP, K2tog, because I like the fabric better this way.

I ended up doing 3 rounds in the cream to further eke out the black yarn. I like that it gives a focal point to the cowl, and offers different ways to wear it!

In the end, I did 18 sets of chevrons. It’s a smaller cowl than the pattern would make, but still great to wear.
