Turns out I love my brother more than I hate knitting socks, so I am on another pair for him in this lovely Shibui.
I am using this pattern as inspiration, but I cast on far fewer stitches (66 for ribbing, 65 for the leg) and I am planning on switching to all stockinette for the foot.
12/6/12 These socks disappeared for about ten days. I left them at the public library before Thanksgiving and they weren’t found until over a week later. The patterning on the legs is done. Up next are the heel flaps!
12/14/12 To prove that I am the slowest sock knitter ever I have finally just made it through both heels and gussets. I am hoping that the stockinette feet will go quickly. I want these in the mail early next week.
Note for future socks: size 9 in men’s is 10.31 inches.
