This is going to be my OWL for potions. Each “rope” in the pattern, the background, and the border will all be different colors. Hence the huge amount of yarn I’m going to need. I already have a bunch of colors in simply soft though, so hopefully I only need to buy seven skeins (yay yarn sales!)

Please note that all percentages include blocking and finishing

14/10/09 - 18”! I’m about 22.5% done!

16/10/09 - The original rainbow order finally repeated. It repeats every twelve repeats, it that makes sense… 29”, 36.25% done

22/10/09 - 36”!!! 45% done! (halfway if you’re only counting length!!) I’m averaging a foot per week now, which is awesome, considering I need it done by the end of November…

27/10/09 - 42”, 52.5%

29/10/09 - 48”!!! 4’! 60%!!! I will have this thing done in two weeks or less. I WILL!!

6/11/09 - 60”. One foot left: after the current repeat ends, four more repeats, knit to row 7 (end of diamond w/o crossing last, as specified), a couple rows of seed stitch, binding off, weaving in ends, washing, blocking, done!

13/11/09 - 73”!!!!!!!!!!! DONE KNITTING!!!!!!!!!!! All I have left is to weave in ends, wash, and block!!!!!!!!!!

17/11/09 - Finished weaving in the ends and washed it. Now it’s sitting in the pile of items-to-be-blocked until my mega-blocking party over Thanksgiving break.

25/11/09 - Blocked! Done! Can’t wait to wear it home for winter break <3
