Started the yoke this week and it’s super addictive knitting! Such a change after the monotony of the stocking stitch for the body. Nearly ready to start the Totoros! It’s not going to be easy to make the OWL deadline but I’m trying.

Finished my Totoros! About eight rows in, I frogged back because I received an Instagram message from Kate Davies herself (!!) and I decided to leave my floats super long. You can see in the pics that I included one from when I was carrying the floats and one where I wasn’t, and I think the latter looks much better. The fabric is a little uneven but I’m hoping it’ll block out.

I finished the knitting on this sweater a couple of days ago! I’m not entirely sure about the neckline but perhaps it will look less funnel-like after blocking. Wish I had researched a little more before simply following the pattern as written as lots of people have modified the neck.

Doing the finishing is taking FOREVER. This was my first time ‘unzipping’ a crochet provisional CO and it’s a nightmare! Definitely dropped a few stitches.
Picking up the stitches on the hem took about two hours, then the tubular cast on took at least another two hours. However, it really makes the garment look more polished so I think it’s worth it.
