Used third size in pattern for a total of 34 stitches around. Did 2x1 ribbing across the top of the foot and then, 2 knit rows after inserting the waste yarn for the afterthought heel, did 2x1 ribbing all the way around the ankle. Right sock - waste yarn for heel at 7.5 inches, left sock 7.75 inches.

On afterthought heel, picked up an extra stitch on each needle - still had holes. Knitted until 10 stitches remaining (total) and used Kitchener to graft close.
