Notes

Used Elizabeth Zimmerman’s Seamless Yoke Pattern and Elizabeth’s Percentage System.

Ribbing: 2” K2P2.

Body: Added two decrease rounds (decrease by two, each side) and two increase rounds for waist shaping.

Sleeves: Knit two at a time on two circulars. The only way to do it, in my opinion.

Yoke: Joined body and sleeves, worked 1 round even and then started the cable pattern. After the cable pattern did my first decrease round. After second decrease round, did 1” of short rows along back and then worked collar in ribbing for 1”.

Buttons from my mom. I wish I had sewed them on one owl over, but oh, well.

Inspired by Owls by Kate Davies. I used the chart provided in the orginal free download, with a few minor modifications, mostly to make sure the owls fit within my stitch count. I did not use the pattern for numbers, as my gauge was different than the yarn in the pattern and I prefer waist shaping at the sides.
