Notes

I used two-color alternating cast-on for a tubular edge and didn’t add the two side edge stitches called for in the pattern. Instead I knit the first stitch of every row and purled the second stitch crossing the colors invisibly on the purl stitch to lock the edge. 102 stitches as per chart.

I’m purling w/my left hand and knitting w/my right hand which keeps the colors untangled, evens the tension, and makes the knitting go faster.

This is my first attempt at double knitting. It’s interesting to see the positive/negative pattern emerging.

8/11/14 Finished! Using the white yarn I closed the top with kitchener stitch which matches the cast-on very nicely. I didn’t add the loop since it won’t be hanging up. This was a fun little project.
