Notes

I love this pattern so much that I had to make another one right away! This is for my mother, who saw my first Beyond the Wild Wood and really wanted one for herself. And oh, yes, she is a wild woodswoman! She’s what you might call a force of nature. There’s no one quite like my mom.

Gauge: 18 sts/4” on size 8 needles, blocked. I don’t want to knit this yarn any looser, so will go up a size. This yarn barely qualifies as worsted weight, but I like the fabric I’m getting anyway.

Mods:
Sleeve decreases closer together and more of them, to make a sleeve that ends nice and snug around the forearm and fits someone with short arms.

Knitted the cuffs on needles four sizes smaller to eliminate any tendency toward floppiness with this ultra-drapey yarn.

Knitted the collar with the yarn held double (picked up stitches with a single strand, then doubled it for the rest). Again, this is to compensate for the floopy yarn. I really love how the collar looks!

“Busty” size bust darts.
