I am a little concerned about pooling with this yarn, but because I love the colors, the concern is minor. :)

Yarn has been wound and I did a swatch (wish I’d taken a photo to demonstrate the pooling in tss!) with my 5.0mm hook. (20 stitches and 18 rows - 4 inches).

9 am: starting chain made (6.5mm hook) and have begun camp project! :)

Had to restart rows one to three a few times to get the feel of things, but now I think I’m off and running. This is an ingenious layout for a crochet project. Love it!

Made it through row 30 today. My left hand (thumb) and right elbow are complaining mightily. May have to work on some knitting tomorrow to give them a little break. Icing tonight. 119 stitches on the hook at this point. Going well.

Listening to Stephen King’s 11-22-63: A Novel while I work. Got through many chapters today.

6/3 (took yesterday off) first I want to say that this pattern is so well written and I love the stitch count chart! It is so helpful! Approaching the textured rows in section three and am already feeling how long and slow the rows are getting. Laughter ensues… Imagine how it will feel when I’m working on section six and the stitch counts have nearly doubled. :-) I think the challenge of this camp project more than any other I have done so far will be to finish within the month.

6/4 Tried to finish section 4 today. Thought if I could average getting through a section per calendar day I could be done in a week. Today I had a few other things calling my name (involving yard work and long dog walks during the brightest light) so there are three rows still to go and after all of the rows I had to rework due to miscounts last night, I won’t attempt them in the evening when I’m tired and the light is low. All I have left of the section are the two textured rows.

6/8 finished section 5 tonight. One section left and then the ruffle. If I have enough room left on the starting chain, I may see if I can fit an extra section before starting the ruffle to enlarge it a smidge. It just seems small to me right now. I know there will be a little growth with blocking maybe, but not enough to make me most happy.

6/11 odd color photo (at bottom) taken under lights because of rainy day. Shown partway through section six and at end of first skein of yarn. (Row 65 has been put on but hasn’t had return pass done.)

6/12 Working diligently to get finished because yarn is already on the way for the next camp project. Can’t start it until July, but I want to know exactly what I want to make and have it all ready to go, which I simply can’t do when this is under way.

Ending the day with two rows done on the ruffle. That bad boy is increasing by 32 stitches each row, so it is getting BIG and taking a long time to get through. LONGER and longer. It’s over 350 stitches now as I knock off for the evening. I haven’t done a thing around the house aside from walk the dog a few times and I am operating on three hours of sleep. I need to clean the kitchen and go out and rake up the long grass that was mowed and is now lying on top of the new seed so it doesn’t kill off what progress has been made. All before grocery shopping. No work on the MKAL tonight!

6/20 Binding off! I’ve never had a tunisian project call for a bind off stitch before. Very cool finishing technique for this as it is doing it through the back to match row prior. If I can block this properly, it is going to look awesome. Finished all stitching 8 pm.

6/22 Blocked tonight. Used the rolled up towels trick under the rippled edges. It worked great, but didn’t hold long after taking it off the mats. I love how it turned out, though.
