I liked the fabric I was getting with the size 10 needle, so I adjusted the pattern for a post-washing gauge of 19 sts x 28 rows = 4”. (Gauge pre-washing was 19 sts x 24 rows = 4”.)

CO 142 stitches.

I needed to use 800 yards in the FO, so I went by weight; the initial garter section (after CO) weighed 25 g, so I knit until I had used all but 28 g of the final skein.

The swatch used 20 g of yarn, and I was left with 2 g after the bind-off; the FO thus used 378 g / 832 yd of yarn.
