Notes

Belles Bouclettes fingering weight yarn was the perfect compliment to this exquisitely delicate piece . The yarn’s 80/20 percent mohair wool blend added just the tiniest touch of halo to the finished stitch work, increasing its softness. Following Sivia’s instructions exactly I used approximately half a skein of yarn. The deceptively simple garter stitch accessory knits up easily, sits elegantly on the shoulders, and is a beautiful touch of lace to add to an outfit.

Note about the yarn: it is available from Belles Bouclettes, which is located on a small farm in eastern Ontario Canada. The mohair comes from their happy herd of angora goats. The yarns are spun in Canadian mills,. Their lines of dyed and undyed mohair and llama yarns are fantastic! (For anyone who wants to take their love of fibre into the bath, they also have some fabulous felted goat’s milk soap (along with some other body care products), definitely worth checking out!)
