Colour A: Mussel (dark mauve, O Wool)

Colour B: Oyster (beige, O Wool)

Colour C: Damson (plum, Quince)

Colour D: Wood Dove (cool pink, O Wool)

Pattern is 147 st = 143 pattern stitches + 4 selvedge stitches (2 at each side) = 17” width

13 st pattern is repeated 11 times = 143 st

To narrow this, you’d delete 13 st at a time. 13 st amounts to @2”.

So far the only issue is the yarn - which I can’t say I’ll be running out to purchase again soon, even if the colours are gorgeous (and they are) and the feel on the skein is very “average sock yarn” soft (which tends to knit up pleasantly from the vantage point of the hands). When knitting it up, it feels like it’s got a film on it which prevents optimal slip. I’ve gone through 5 needles in 2 sizes (of bamboo, 2 metal, carbon and acrylic) and the last pair works best (Chiaogoo Lace with the pointy tips and red cable). Usually yarn falls off of these needles. Not this yarn.

Preblocked size: 54” x 16.5”

Note that I omitted 11 colour repeats to save on yarn - and cuz this is a hard knit on one’s hands. I hope it grows substantively given that the O Wool is superwash (albeit enviro-superwash).

Weight of scarf: 256g (this is minus the woven in yarn ends of which there were dozens)

I think with blocking and pinning I may get to 60” x 20” which is what I’m hoping for. It does appear that the O Wool is very stretchy when wet blocked.

It blocked to 64” x 18” - a very pleasant size and proportion. This O Wool yarn - even moderated by the Quince Finch colourway (and this yarn always shrinks - particularly this batch, which is overspun) - grows a lot.
