I made my leg warmers, then realized they were basically the same as the Alicia Leg Warmers, so I just included my MODIFICATIONS IN UPPER CASE: I chained 69 (MULTIPLES OF 6 + 3) which makes 67 dc, (ch 3 counts as stitch). I crochet loosely, so this made my leg warmers about 21” long as I wanted them to be “scrunchy”. I crocheted 16 rows of dc FRONT LOOP ONLY which made the leg warmers about 12” around, (I have 13.5” calves). I think these would fit up to about 14.5” calves. FIRST I crocheted a slip stitch seam with RIGHT SIDES OUT, and then SECOND added the scallop border to the loop sticking up from the slip stitch.
Scallop: ch 1, sc in first stitch, SKIP 2 STITCHES, 5 dc in next stitch, SKIP 2 STITCHES, sc in next stitch, repeat from to end, tie off and weave in ends. I DID NOT ADD A SCALLOP ACROSS THE TOP.
11-12-14 Just need to add buttons. I will add one per scallop, 11 each leg warmer.
2-19-15 FINALLY sewed the accent buttons on!
