Followed directions through row 17, but with 63 rows for the band and 63 stitches per round as I needed a child size.

22: one stitch in next 8 stitches, 2 together over next 2 stitches, repeat around, one stitch in each of last 3 stitches (57)

1. one stitch in next 7 stitches, 2 together over next 2 stitches, repeat around, one stitch in each of last 3 stitches (51)

24: one stitch in next 6 stitches, 2 together over next 2 stitches, repeat around, one stitch in each of last 3 stitches (45)

25: one stitch in next 5 stitches, 2 together over next 2 stitches, repeat around, one stitch in each of last 3 stitches (39)

26: one stitch in next 4 stitches, 2 together over next 2 stitches, repeat around, one stitch in each of last 3 stitches (33)
