Notes

Don’t the mitered squares look like the tiles of a swimming pool? Aren’t the zigzag stripes a common pattern of bath sheets? And the colors, so refreshing!
“Pool” was the first name coming on my mind.

I had so many kinds of blue and green Rowan yarns but it was not enough for a project. So I took the off-white DK Cotton from my stash which was in fact predefined for dyeing. It connects all the colored parts and gives them some calm.

I started with the mitered parts and then knitted along sideways. The sides were joined by knitting them together with square patches. In the last picture you see the connection between sides and underarm.
Nearly every colored yarn was used up. I knitted the small amounts into the stripes.

When I finished the Pullover it fits me perfectly. But a few months later I lost some weight and shrunk out of the sweater. So a knitting friend of mine bought it. She is way 20 cm taller than me and when she wears it the pullover has an excellent fit to her.
