Like a challenge in sewing in threads? This is the right project.
Notes for machine knitters:

• I used a 24-point punchcard
• e-wrap cast-on,ribbing MT 5
• maximum tension for stranded knitting (MT 10)
• after needle arrangement for pattern: put rib-color-thread in feeder B, new color in feeder A
• color changing is every 5 rows

I made a fully-fashioned neck but would make a cut-and-sew-neck next time.
I would also change the sleeve-cap-decreases. Its too abrupt from decreasing 1 stitch to 17 stitches which gives a slight bump.
Sleeves: I suggest to skip the last 3 single stitch decreases: then bind off on each side 2,2,4 sts, then 12 stitches, last row as given in pattern.

Daylight pictures and pictures when sweater is worn are to follow after niece’s birthday.

Needed three hours knitting time for the bigger parts, 1,5 hours for each sleeve.
