Notes

The Gilet that was turned into the lovely Wingspan wrap.

I started with an invisible CO for making the I-Cord edging easy at the end. Knit last and first stitch of each row to give ease to the wings. First used wrap-around turning method and knit wrap and stitch together on the return row to prevent holes.
Wasn’t too pleased with the result after all so went back to first wing and used the German short row method from then on.
There are plenty of short-row methods (1), (2) and (3).
Made a 3-stitch I-cord around it, blocked it lightly. A very easy pattern with stunning results, as shown in those many other Wingspans with different yarns. I needed only three skeins.
The length from tip to tip is 165 cm/65 inch. The wide end of a wedge is 23 cm/9.1 inch. It wraps very well and stays put with this type of yarn.
The knitting itself is highly TV-suitable if not to say boring. If I ever do another one I will introduce different lace patterns to each wing to make it more interesting to knit.
