I like the construction of this shawl. It reminds me of the Rock Island Shawl. One in silk might be an option. Time will tell!

Sept 29 Started edging.

After casting on 15 Sts, work first row joining last Sts with edge stitch as written.
If you wish, you can put a marker after the last sts then turn work; work row two moving marker and turn and repeat as written.

Oct 6th. The shawl should be ready to block tomorrow. I’ve been knitting fast and furious to get it finished so that I can take it with me. I think the person that I am going to give it to as a gift will like it.

Oct 7th I had a bit of yarn left over from another project, so even though I dislike joining yarn on a lace project, I had to do a Russian join which is not noticeable. The good news: these few yards are enough to complete the project.
Its on the blocking board. Yes!

Unfortunately, I don’t have time for more pics just now. I hope to take a few pics when I give it to the person I made it for.

Stephen West’s stretchy bind off works so well.
I gave the gift to my sister in person on the 9th. She loves it!
