The colour of this yarn reminds me of the beautiful colour of the sea surrounding the Hawaiian islands. While these island are not, of course, south of the equator, the water that surrounds them are the same gorgeous colour.

I knit this shawl in red for my sister; she wears it all the time and has had, she says, many compliments, which is so nice.

Because I love the construction and the style of this shawl, I wanted to knit one for myself, so I think it’s fitting that I use the yarn that my sister sent me as a gift.

~ To make the shawl a bit larger, I added another lace panel, leaving me with just enough yarn to finish.
