Notes

I am very excited about this pattern because I am able to use yarn from my stash, blues and browns. I bought the Araucania for no specific project. I just liked the color combination.
Reading the instructions and looking at Verypink`s project helped me a lot, to figure out the knitting. I am too impatient to wait till the 30th of Sept. to see the tutorials! So I am starting right away. Knitting this pattern is addictive. The colors are really a bit deeper, than in the photos. I am using 3 shades of blue for the main color, light shade ( bottom) to darkest shade (top). My shawl will be smaller than the posted original, because I used fingering weight yarn. I am finished with the main part of the shawl and have 222 stitches on the needle, close enough. (222 St: 48 =4.5 St. gauge for pick up of border) I am pleased, with the look. It is soaking now, and I will block it, before I knit the border. Size: with border 37X56 inches. Knitting the border took about 2 days. Because, I mostly used Shetland for the shawl it turned out very light. I like it.
