Notes

First time knitting with mohair and silk -- was a little tense at first because the yarn kept slipping off my metal needles, but switched to wooden Knitter’s Pride interchangeable needles and all is well. Love the feel of the fabric!

Made no mods to pattern. I plan to knit two more of these, one in red, the other in cream. Next time I’m going to lower the neckline because it’s a little high, maybe start the decreases 5 to 10 rows lower. It’s also a bit cropped anyway, but coupled with my long waist, feels a bit short on me, so I’ll add an inch or two of length. It could also benefit from some short-row shaping at the back of the neck to prevent the dreaded “ride up.”

The buttons are crystal. I put them on the “wrong side” of the sweater because there are snaps underneath and I wanted the right band to overlap the left band as per convention.

Otherwise, fits perfectly and a complete pleasure to wear. Warm, soft, and feminine!
