8/23/12 Warped 22” across in a 10 dpi reed, thinking an inch on the edges for seaming later, and the denser-than-expected epi so the stuffing won’t poke through. Warped 92 inches to weave both the front and back of this pillow-to-be.
So far, the weaving of it is looking warp-faced (duh), but we’ll see what it looks like after I remove it from the tension of the loom.
8/25/12 I cut that mess off the loom and started over with the 7.5 reed. Much better! And about that stuffing containment: I’m going with a pillow form, so no worries!
8/26/12 It’s off the loom, and I love this fabric! I lost an inch in width, getting 21 instead of 22 inches. So I’ll be stingy with the seaming, that’s all. I’ll do that tomorrow.
8/27/12 Done. And I love the folded-over-flap thingy on the back - it makes removing the insert really easy when the pillow needs a bath, lol. Speaking of which, it’s in the washer now (the photos are pre-washed).
The color choices are based on the ones with which I sponge-painted the walls, years ago.
