Notes

I shifted the joins to fall in a corner and worked from the chart, which was a breeze to follow.

This one seemed to flow very easily and work up quickly, with beautiful results. Love the argyle! This one would be elegant for a whole afghan.

It did come out slightly larger than my other blocks for this CAL, but it’s close enough to work. (It’s about a quarter-inch bigger, unblocked.) I’m not sure if the increase in size is something to do with the pattern or just a reflection of a change in my personal gauge (brought about by either mood or the comparative ease of the pattern).

I’ve decided to work at least some (maybe all) of the CAL blocks twice, for a larger blanket. This is the first one I’m making twice. The first (larger) one was in ‘Soft Sage’. The second will be in ‘Blue Moon’. I’ll try to make sure my tension doesn’t loosen up, and we’ll see if this second one turns out a little smaller.

Finished second block on May 28th. It turned out the same size as the first, after all (i.e. a bit larger than the first three block patterns). Maybe it is down to the pattern.
