Notes

I used WOTA throughout except for the green on the background of the fox, which was I Love This Yarn! Sport from Hobby Lobby.

The colors of the blues for the main body of the sweater and the fern motifs are too muted for my taste, but I’m going with it!

When getting to the yoke of the sweater it is important to note that she says to bind off 10 at the underarms for the body and only 5 on the sleeves, yet the count for the sleeves is 70, not 75. So here I assume she means to bind off 5 on each side of the markers for the 10 to match up and get accurate count!

It is also not very clear on the beginning of the pattern for the yoke what she really wants you to do in the first 5 rows! The directions are confusing. I read some other pattern notes (of which StaciKnits is the best! http://www.ravelry.com/projects/StacieKnits/foxy-sweater) and figured out that the first 5 are only repeats of the first 8 graphed stitches.

The pattern is pretty good, but has some technical problems as far as wording and understanding what to do next.

12/31/14 - After the brief confusion noted above the rest of the pattern has worked out fairly well. I did note that the decreases need 2 additional k2tog on top of the ones stated to get the correct count. So for the first dec I made an additional k2tog and for the second set I ended up knitting the last 6 stitches in a k2tog. (3 stitches on the end.) Not too bad, really. On to the ribbing for the collar now which I hope to have done today!
