Notes

10/5/2011: It turned out shorter than I was hoping for, but I seamed together before blocking. It’s drying as I type this - I just have to sew the buttons on and wear it all fall!

9/26/2011: Allyson had mentioned some possible mistakes on the increase and decrease sections on the front, so I knitted the ribbing inserts before I started each side to make sure everything was shaping up correctly. I didn’t have a problem with the decrease section, but I found that I got too many increase rows. I only needed to increase to 24 stitches instead of 27 as the pattern directed. I increased to 27 on the right side and only 24 on the left side (see photos). I’ll be ripping back to 24 stitches on the right side before starting the button band and neck ribbing.

Now on to the sleeves!

Allyson at Sweatshop of Love has been making this sweater. I not only fell in love with the pattern, but have been looking for an excuse to use Knit Pick’s new tweed yarns. It’s a sign!
