Notes

Aug 25 > I’ve had this idea in my head for a while and decided to try and knit it out. The plan is to make an entrelac blanket, then pick up stitches around it and knit an edge of some sort. I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it…
I needed an easy project to bring with me to a knitting group and basically just cast on without thinking too much about how I’ll execute. Sort of making it up as I go along. But so far it’s looking very promising.

Jan 13 > It just dawned on me that the baby this blanket was meant for is due in less than three weeks! Better get moving…

Jan 16 > Started the outermost edge yesterday (stole it from this pattern) and have come just over half way with it, so I’m guessing this will be finished during the weekend. It promises to be absolutely gorgeous. Two skeins of yarn go into the edge. Quite a lot…

Jan 17 > Finished! Beautiful, just needs blocking. I’m SO buying blocking wires for this project, no way I feel like pinning it all down. :D

I’ll post better pictures once blocking is done. I’m so happy I managed to finish this project, I wasn’t very hopeful when I picked it up from the hibernation pile. But the wee one will surely have something warm and pretty to be wrapped up in once s/he finally decides to make an appearance. :)
