Notes

PATTERN: Easy peasy. Although it’s simple, quick, and easy to do I honestly found all the garter a bit mind-numbing. But love the end result for sure.

YARN: I adore this colour and how it knits up.

I only got 33 teeth; likely could have squeaked out one more but wasn’t sure I could get a full ‘tooth’ and still be able to bind off. Had I used a smaller needle, I definitely could have got more teeth but the end result is really nice anyway.

No modifications. I think I’ll make more Hitchhikers in future but may try a heavier yarn (Sport or DK). These will make really nice gifts whether for adults or teens.

I originally bought this yarn and made this particular Hitchhiker for my granddaughter. I could not part with it once it was knit. I LOVE this colour way and wear it often.

This update is mostly because of the yarn. I have worn this from fall through spring for a few years now and it’s still my favourite. The fabric created with this luscious yarn is so beautiful. It washes so well, still feels like new, and is like silk against my hand or worn around my neck. Love MadTosh.
