I did a little math to size the pattern up for a 4 year old head circumference, and for my gauge.
She tried it on a couple of times to figure out the height. If you don’t have someone’s head available to do this, there are mods and guidelines for making the hats in larger-than-baby size on the pattern that should get you close.
