After 3 changes of yarn combinations, I’ve finally figured out what sock yarns to use for my first Baktus! I usually keep my sock yarns skeined up because of their beauty (and I love to cuddle with them), but I decided to ball up my two skeins of STR in multi blues and they look sooo cool together!!

I’m doing Rows 1&2 in the Seastone and 3&4 in the Azure Malachite.

It’s such a fun and addictive knit!!! : )

Update: 2/17/11

I’m at the halfway mark (or just beyond). I got up to 92 stitches before my skeins of yarn were 1/2 the weight of what they were when I started (approx. 121 g each before project and 62 g each halfway through).

I’m getting 5.5 sts/inch and 11 rows/inch in garter stitch. My scarf is 16.5” wide at the halfway point and 34” long.

I’ve added a fun ruffle to the scarf - picking up one row, knitting another row and then binding off on the third row. This scarf is squishy and soft. Very happy with it!
