Notes
  • Finished edge of hot pad with a round of reverse single crochet.

  • On my joining round: sc 8 sts up, worked the 3 sts at the petal’s tip, and then sc 8 sts down the other side of the petal.

  • Simple, fast project. Finished crocheting in one evening while watching the Phillies game on television.

  • This may not be the best project for brand-new crocheters. The instructions can be a bit vague at times (for instance, there isn’t any mention of a sl st at the end of every round or a ch 1 to start each new round). If you have a couple of ITR (in the round) projects under your belt, you should be good to go.

Mom saw a picture of my friend Meghan’s crocheted Flower Hot Pad on Facebook and really liked it. Of course this means I need to make her one for Mother’s Day!
