Another fabulous pattern from Knitting Vintage Socks. I followed the instructions for the calf increases verbatim and it looks awesome! I love the striped heel and toe. It didn’t take any extra time switching between the two colors and it looks so much better with the contrast.

Tried to do my first Kitchener stitch on this project. Failed miserably. Managed to unravel and pick up all the stitches. So… with 22 stitches left, I k2tog all the way around, threaded the yarn through all the stitches and pulled it closed. I’ll give Kitchener another go someday soon.

The next time I knit these up, I’ll do it in a solid color to show off the beautiful railway stitch. All that work and the “camouflage” yarn obscures it!

I managed to get these done with only one skein of each color. I have lots of the cream color left over and enough of the Bernat Sox to make a small project.
