I usually crochet tight so I automatically went up a hook size…my cover ended up to big so I went back and took out 1 row before the row using the dtr (us tr), it fit perfect. I didn’t count the rows to cover the box, just did it until it was done (9 rows before shell).

I also added owl features to the side. Great pattern will use again to make other animal covers :)
