Notes

Test for this cute sweater. Thank you Suvi for having me! :) Really love the result.

Very straighforward pattern, easy to follow. I did some small mods though.

Yoke

  • knitted inside out right from the beginning.
  • did the increases exactly as the patterns says, just as knit instead of purl. I´m not sure if this is the best method, as they are still slightly visible. Some testers did it differently (kfb) and had better results. Maybe test on your swatch what works best for your yarn.
  • the last round before ribbing is meant to be a knit round. I missed that, so a tiny unintenional mod. :)
  • moved the beginning of the round to the middle of the back when I picked-up the stitches for the body.

Body

  • I did some waistshaping along the way, 2 decrease-rounds, 4 increases-rounds as my hips are a bit wider.

Sleeves

  • knitted as written except for less rounds at the cuffs.

Yarn

I started this test with Holst Supersoft and 4 mm needles, which gave me the right gauge, but the fabric was much too loose for my liking. I think a sportweight works a bit better for the design, or if you use fingering, knit it with a tighter gauge in a larger size. Of course, it depends all on your own preferences regarding the density of your fabric.

I´m quite happy with my final yarn choice, although I was cursing a lot while knitting body and sleeves. The rosy green yarn is so soft, I had real problems with my tension.
