This conceptual pattern intrigued me the first time I saw it in one of my knitting magazines.

10/27/12: gathered together the yarn I plan on using. I will begin knitting this scarf on 01/01/13.

12/31/12: Yarn is all wound up and ready to go. I also decided to incorporate the Favorite Scarf Ever pattern into this project, ‘cause garter stitch is sooo last year! ;-)

1/4/13: Since I’m working with worsted weight yarns, this is most likely going to get huge. Some thoughts I had is either to stop on my 40th birthday (Aug. 15th) or to make strips of fabric that represent either three or four months, stitch them together and make a sort of lap blanket or throw. I’ll have a better idea once I have a month worth of knitting done.

03/31/13: First quarter panel of the blanket has been cast off. Onto to the second quarter!

So the yarn choice for the weather will go like this:

Sugar n’ Cream - Light blue sky/clouds or no clouds
Lion Brand - blue sky/clouds or no clouds
Stockbridge - overcast grey/cloudy day
Impeccable - rainy day/thunderstorm
Oasis/Paton - SNOW!!, Sleet, and/or freezing rain
