I changed my gray yarn. The black specs in the Caron were bothering me so I am going with Red Heart’s anthracite gray ombre instead with the Caron gold ombre. Which means…I’m starting over :) Thankfully I wasn’t too far in, I believe about 16 rows or so and now I am already in by 7 so I will be where I was in no time.

Finally finished! I had planned on doing a full border, however time was not on my side. So then I figured I would just do the rectangle potion of it…couldn’t finish that either. So for the border on the front I started with two rows of hdc and then started the rectangles then at the halfway mark did one more row of hdc finishing it off with a crab stitch/reverse sc. The back of the border is first row DC as I followed the pattern, however I felt the space was too big and feared my ends in the middle will poke through so I reduced it to hdc for all of the rounds on the back.

This was a LONG project but I am very happy with the results. I hope my brother will like it!! I will most likely make another one but not anytime soon lol
