This is a flock of about two dozen of the Rabbit Hole Knits birds. My little Magpie loves to be out on her shady back porch and listen to the singing of her backyard birds. It is one of our favorite morning rituals when I sit with her. When new babies arrive, I like to make a gift basket of a stack of these great washcloths. https://www.ravelry.com/projects/YearoftheSheep/knitted-r... and include some birds with them. The birds do triple duty as a stuffed toy, a teether toy, and the cutest slobber mop. I use the washcloths as a bib/burp cloth for milk droolies. All birds and cloths go into the laundry basket at the end of the day, and the kitchen cotton items wash up beautifully. Easy peasy.

Her baptism is coming up, and I thought this would be a fun way to share her love of birds and her happy personality with all of the friends and family who will be in town for her baptism. This is what I did to the dining room table while her mom and dad were at work. I am happy with the results. So is her mom. (Squee!)
